So, in the last blog of this series, we talked about technologies like C, Java, and Python which have created a legacy in the IT industry.
Now let’s talk about some trending technologies which you should upgrade or learn in order to secure and survive in the IT Industry.
1) Artificial Intelligence-
When we see Jarvis talking to Iron Man in the Marvel Movie we are in awe as to how it is even possible but my friends to your surprise now it’s absolutely possible.
So basically Artificial intelligence is the human-like intelligence processed by machines, especially computer systems. Some applications of AI include Expert Systems, Natural Language Processing, Speech Recognition, and many more.
So in simple terms, artificial intelligence is a field that combines computer science and various datasets to enable problem-solving. It is conjugated with machine learning and deep learning and is in huge demand in the IT world, especially in developing countries like India.
If we take only Naukri.com statistics there are around 18000+ job opportunities available in their portal The average salary of an Artificial Intelligence Engineer is Rs 6,57,121 per year only in India and it ranges between $142,500 to $173,000 annually across the United States.
2)Data Science and Analytics-
With the demand in a lot of handling of structured and unstructured data came these 2 buzz-words and it won’t be wrong to say this is the coolest and sexiest job ever. Data Science and Data Analytics deal with Big Data ( Big Data is a field that finds ways to analyze, systematically extract information from or otherwise deal with data sets that are complex using data processing application software) each taking a unique approach.
Whereas Data Science includes a combination of multiple disciplines like Mathematics, Statistics, Computer-Science, Information Science, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics is mainly dealing in Statistics, Mathematics, and Statistical Analysis.
In Naukri.com there are roughly around 75000+ job opportunities available in Data Science and Analytics. According to Linkedin, the average data scientist’s salary is Rs 850000 and a mid-level scientist can earn around Rs 1000000 per annum with 5 to 8 years of experience in India. The average data scientist salary in the US is $100560 according to the U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics.
3) Robotic Process Automation-
This technology refers to a software technology that makes it easy to build, deploy and manage software robots. Robots are designed to emulate human actions interacting with digital systems and software. With RPA, users can create software robots or bots that can learn, mimic and then execute rules-based business processes. RPA has a positive snowball effect on business operations and their outcomes
In addition, the benefits of implementing RPA are greater productivity, larger precision, cost-efficiency, and fast ROI to name a few. Two important RPA tools in the market are Automation Anywhere and UI Path.
Around 2000+ active jobs in Naukri and 9000+ active jobs in Linkedin are available. According to Glassdoor, the average salary of an RPA developer in India is around Rs 565000 per annum and in the US it is $80210 per year.
So my friends this is the best time to upskill yourself and upgrade your career. Will see you all in my next blog.
Till then. Stay safe, Stay Healthy.
