Every year, Apple Worldwide Developers Conference is meant for bringing some thrilling technology news to us. And, this year’s June has already informed all the fascinating tech trends from Apple. One of the hottest updates from Apple is the launching of macOS Monterey. Talking about Monterey, it’s the successor to the macOS Big Sur.
However, macOS Monterey is now available for download as a part of the public beta program. As we all know that Windows 11 is similarly available under Windows Insider Program, such a step was expected from Apple. So, if you’re a Mac fan and want to learn more about macOS Monterey then this is what you’re looking for.
Spellbinding Features of macOS Monterey
From the first preview of macOS Monterey, the update of the operating system doesn’t seem as big as of macOS Big Sur. Although Monterey appears to be a comparatively smaller update, the sparks are announced at WWDC 21. For now, the macOS public beta version is available for developers to test the efficiency of the operating system.
And, the final and tested version will be probably up for Mac devices this fall. Before that, you can certainly sign up for Monterey use, at your own risk. Such a public beta version comprises incomplete functions, bugs, and compatibility issues with applications, especially third-party ones. Thus, you should keep a distance from the beta version of Monterey if you can’t afford bugs.
Yet, the features announced at WWDC 21 regarding macOS Monterey feel overwhelming. And, we couldn’t keep our hands off from trying macOS 12 aka Monterey. These are the most show-stealing add-ons from Monterey according to our trials. Have a look at them before Monterey hits your Mac.
Face Time Updates
The biggest improvement made to Face Time is that now almost any user can access the video chats on the application. Apple users can invite anyone through a browser link. Be it Windows or Android platforms, users can directly join the video call via the web app. The initiator has to share the video chat link through Google chat or email.
Among other features, the high-end portrait quality of the iPhone has inspired the characteristics of Face Time. The feature will blur out everything except for you. The spatial audio correction lets you realize from whom the voice is coming to you especially when you are on a video conference. With Share Play, binge-watch your favorite movies and shows with your friends and that’s too in real-time sharing option.
Moreover, the voice isolation mode of Face Time focuses on your voice and eliminates all the background noises. As an opposite feature, a wide spectrum feature is there to make sure that you don’t miss out on a single detail from your friends on the call.
Apple has always respected your privacy and this time, it has done something great for your concentration. You can now align your devices according to your mindset and control notifications flow. Furthermore, Focus will be supported by every Apple device. Activate DND or set Focus for fitness, driving, work, or anything personal.
Include important contacts under Focus and others will be muted when you have turned on Focus. In addition, your availability status would reflect on the end of those who try to contact you. Gradually, they would know not to disturb you then.
Sounds interesting, right? Focus even lets you enable replying in auto-mode when you are busy focusing. No doubt, Focus will be the center of attraction when macOS Monterey will be out.
Anyone out there who likes to use Chrome on a Mac device? Well, the versatility and compatibility of Chrome have compelled countless Mac users to go with Google Chrome. However, Safari has got a stylish and streamlined tab bar. It takes relatively less space on the browser. Additionally, it gets simpler to work with multiple tabs on Safari.
